SYNOPSIS

When Uncle Martin exhibits his latest invention, a device
that makes material things invisible by reducing them to molecular
form, Tim is duly impressed. This feeling changes to one of horror
when their landlady's suspicious detective friend, Brennan,
activates the machine and disappears into thin air. Since the
device has a reverse mechanism it would seem a simple matter to
bring the sleuth back to normal. Unfortunately, his molecules,
which constitute the unfortunate detective, wind up successively in
a vacuum cleaner bag, a dump truck, and finally all over the
driveway.

Retrieving the molecules, down to the last one under the nose of
the police, who suspect that Uncle Martin has done away with a
member of their department, taxes the powers of even a Martian.
That he is able to bring Detective Brennan back to his usual self,
unpleasant though that may be, just as the poor fellow's molecules
are about to disappear forever and to do this while he himself is
being taken into police custody, is a feat that justifiably causes
Tim to acclaim Uncle Martin as the brainiest person not only on
Earth, but on Mars, and for all he knows, in the entire universe.

Even though Uncle Martin modestly disclaims this, we find
it hard not to agree with Tim's assessment of our Favorite Martian.
