SYNOPSIS 
 
Martin becomes a talking dog when he reduces himself to 
half a cup of "Essence of Martin" to send himself back to Mars. A 
little lost dog, picked up by Tim, decides the Essence is delicious. 
 
All too soon, Martin is picked up by the City Dog Catcher. He is 
turned over to a very beautiful woman with a very jealous husband. 
 
Jealous Mr. Frisby overhears Martin the dog talking over 
the phone to Tim. Finding no one present, Frisby accuses his wife of 
having a man in the house. When Tim arrives to try to buy, Martin, the 
dog, at too high a price, Frisby smells a rat and discovers Martin is 
a talking dog. He is elated to own a talking dog until Martin 
convinces him it was just ventriloquism. Which brings back the 
question of whom Frisby heard through the door. 
 
Tim gets a black eye before Martin and the dog are separated to go 
their own ways. Unfortunately, Tim had to use all of an indispensable 
chemical to do the job, so the way Martin goes from here is not back 
to Mars.
