SYNOPSIS
When Uncle Martin learns that an instrument-bearing
rocket is in readiness to explore Outer Space, he decides
to become the first interplanetary hitchhiker, that is, if the
rocket heads for Mars. To influence this "if" in their favor,
Uncle Martin and Tim call on J. M. Buckley, head of
InterGalaxy Corporation. Their propaganda backfires when
Buckley, a superstitious man, realizes it is Friday the
Thirteenth, no day for making decisions. However, they
manage to convince him that the Thirteenth is his lucky
day, and the flight is on again -- until he loses his lucky
rabbit's foot. By conversing with a rascally cat, Uncle Martin
finally recovers the good luck charm... in shreds... and
is forced to secure a substitute. The flight is now on again.
Tim sadly watches the rocket take off and sees Uncle Martin
apparently whoosh out of his life. At home, however, Uncle
Martin sheepishly appears, admits that the additional
equipment he had suggested eliminated all passenger space.
"Welcome home, Uncle Martin."
