Tim notices a similarity between Uncle Martin's antennas and
the antennas on an ordinary TV set. In questioning Uncle Martin,
Tim finds out that Uncle Martin can pick up radio broadcast waves.
That night Tim tunes Uncle Martin in and picks up a special "private
police car call. And the next day, taking advantage of his "Scoop"
he starts to write the news story and checks with the Police for
last minute details. He immediately winds up in jail with
Uncle Martin; both prime suspects.
Uncle Martin, of course, cannot withstand questioning and he
disappears leaving a frightened Tim alone in the "Holding Room" sort-
of-jail-cell. The Police Sargeant "sweats" Tim out and plays a waiting
game, waiting for Tim to "crack" and confess ho w he got the
information. (Tim of course cannot reveal he picked it up on Uncle
Martin's antennas.
Uncle Martin, mean while is out solving the case. We follow Uncle
Martin through his detective machinations to the end when he
reveals for us, saving Tim from a "beau geste" confession, the true
culprit and the "switch" in Uncle Martin's very own detective story!
