SYNOPSIS
Uncle Martin is working night and day to complete vital
space navigational problems. When Tim sees a blurred, double image of
Martin, it is not because Tim is tired, but because Martin is. Since
Martin is overtired from working, his subconscious is trying to escape
and relax. That is the blurred image Tim has.
Being more fatigued than he realizes, when Martin goes to
sleep his subconscious self emerges. This second Uncle Martin is a far
different Uncle Martin. He is a funloving, devil-may-care, dapper
Uncle Martin who spends the night on the town and calls himself
Ricardo. Tim runs into Ricardo having dinner with a beautiful, dumb
blonde. The next day when Tim tells Martin about his amazing double,
Martin realizes what is happening, Worse, he discovers Ricardo has got
himself engaged to the beautifull, dumb blonde and intends to elope
with her tomorrow nignt.
Through the use of memory wafers, Martin "slips it" to the
dumb blonde who immediately takes a dislike to Ricardo and becomes a
super intellect.
Martin prevents any further emergence of that playboy Ricardo
by taking time to relax -- by dating the blonde. After all she's the
only human on Earth intellectually equipped to spend an evening with a
Martian.
