SYNOPSIS

Martin's levitation finger goes out of control when it is
overexposed to the sun's cosmic rays. Martin accidentally
points it toward Mrs. Brown's house, causing strange
phenomena to take place there.

Mrs. Brown reports the occurrence to the police and Tim's
newspaper editor picks up the news and assigns Tim to
cover the story, as he is in the neighborhood. The police
fail to turn up anything and Tim's editor calls in a noted
expert, Dr. Clemmens, head of the Physic-Phenomena
Dept. of Fluke Lhiiversity.

A temporary antidote for his finger causes a build-up of
power in the inhibited finger which, if it should get loose,
could knock the whole cockeyed world right off its axis.

Martin, as a grand gesture to save the Earth from possible
destruction plans to get as far out in space as he can, so
that if and when his finger should go off, only he will suffer.

Before he can leave he is accidentally trapped and must try
to excuse his strange behavior. He finally manages to lose
the excess power in his finger by pointing it skyward to
cause a great bolt of lightning. His finger is stabilized and
he is relieved of one of his two probllems. Now he must
find a solution that will satisfy Prof. Clemmens so that he
will give up his investigation. The lightning Martin had caused
provides him with an idea for a phenomena for the Professor
to discover -- Ball Lightning. Martin weaves a ball of lightning
with his now-working finger and almost shoves it under the
Professor's nose. Clemmens is satisfied with "his discovery"
and he leaves to make his report to the University and to his
wife, who's been asking him "What's new?" for years.
