SYNOPSIS

Uncle Martin is justly proud of his Earth Nephew when as a r
result of an article Tim writes, their landlady gives a recently
paroled little pickpocket a job as a handy man. He is also proud of
Andy Fuller, the light-fingered one, who after innumerable losing
bouts with the law is determined to go straight. However, going
straight is quite a challenge for someone whose sole talent lies in
appropriating other people's property. Trying to help the inept Andy,
Uncle Martin increases the pickpocket's problems a hundredfold when he
accidentally exposes him to a dose of Martian magnetism. This causes
him, unwittingly and unknowingly, to attract every valuable in sight
that isn't nailed down. When Andy finally attracts an expensive pearl
necklace, right under the nose of Detective Brennan, and is about to
give himself up as a self-confessed thief who is so crooked that his
fingers work against the better instincts of his brain -- Uncle Martin
goes into action. He maneuvers a perfect solution, which results in
the Police Department hiring Andy to do the one thing he is best
suited for: picking pockets. Tim admiringly admits that only a Solomon
could come up with a solution like this... a Solomon... or his
favorite Martian Uncle!
