SYNOPSIS

Martin reluctantly agrees to let Tim use one of his powers. Tim
chooses levitation. For 24 hours he will be given the power to
move objects at will. Tim's experiments with this new-found gift are
successful, and he has difficulty moving objects because of a broken
bone in his index finger. As a substitute for levitation Martin gives
Tim the power to read minds for 24 hours.

Tim first experiments with the mailman and then Mrs. Brown
but discovers he is not in complete control of his power. His first
encounter with trouble occurs when he takes Daphne Joyce out to
dinner. Daphne tries to get out of keeping a date with him by telling
him a series of lies, but his power enables him to confront her with
the fibs and the results are a tossed salad in his lap.

Tim, anxious to win favor with his boss, insists upon interviewing
Councilman Jack Gramby, which causes same problems and a
possible libel suit. A disconsolate Tim returns to his apartment
wishing he didn't have the power any longer. That is, until his boss
announces that there would be no suit and that the interview was a
great benefit to the newspaper.

Tim, elated, asks Martin for an extension of time to read minds,
but Martin refuses. If Tim wants answers, he'll have to find his own way.

Everything seems fine, especially when Daphne calls and Tim
thinks that she is his girl again. But Martin knows otherwise. Daphne
still has another boyfriend, even though she leads Tim to believe
otherwise. But that little deception is a secret Martin does not share
with Tim--only the audience.
